Raven & I watched Jackie Brown the other day & there were a couple of things that gave me pause... (Gave me pause, wow that makes me sound old......)

First off, there's an intro to the DVD by Mister Tarantino himself, in which he thanks all the fans for waiting for the DVD. Waiting for the DVD? This movie is only about 7 years old, yet it was not released on DVD when it went to video.

But wait, there's more!

Then we're watching the film, which takes place in 1995, and one of the characters goes shopping for a cassette tape. Can you even buy those anymore? I mean, I'm sure you can but not in a shopping mall! It really made me think.

It's amazing to me not so much the pace of technology...I mean, that's been break-neck speed for a while now....but how quickly most of us have forgotten the "past" of just a few years ago. Even more so, it's odd to me how some things even further in the past will seem like only moments ago.

I can still remember my brother & I watching our Beta tapes of Star Wars over and over and over again. Today however, it has been announced that future generations will be able to remember watching their parents' copies on DVD. Are we full circle yet?

...and anyway I can't vote for a guy whos name I can pronounce. No one in their "right" mind would expect me to. Kucinich sounds terribly foreign to me. Something scary about that. And really the most important question is how good-looking he is and where does he buy his shoes. Get me this info and then we will "talk". What is wrong with your digital camera? Why do you need to borrow grumpy guys camera?
